Goris

In mountain foundation pit, surrounded with rocks and cave, and crown with bluff was located the city Goris. From deep ancient times the natural caves were used as homes, which after appearance of metallic weapons were enlarged, forming rather greater settlings. Not far from Goris, in strategic plan, hard place is located Tatev priory and university, which were founded in IX age, on place of ancient sanctuary.
